Артур ГИВАРГИЗОВ Каша "Коля"
Kasha 'Kolya'
by Artur Givargizov
To make real "Hercules" kasha, add 4.2 ounces (6.5 table spoons) of coconut flakes (or any other flakes) to a table spoon of oatmeal cereal. Add some powdered sugar (or any other powder) to taste. Mix up igree... in-green... in-gre-di-ents in a cup, pour into boiling water and cook stirring for ten minutes.
This kasha is called "Hercules", because there was a hero Hercules who defeated the Nemean lion after three servings of oatmeal.
"How do you like it?" Dad asked.
"Good stuff!" Kolya nodded. "Give me some more."
"That's my boy!" Dad said. "Sportsmen have this kasha every day. So do soldiers. And when you go on a hike and carry a huge heavy backpack..."
"Wait, Dad, wait, I need to concentrate. I think I can do three pull-ups now."
Kolya ran to the bar and pulled up almost three times.
"So strong!" Dad said.
"Yes," Kolya agreed. "I have never done that many pull-ups before. Give me some more kasha."
Kolya ate another serving of "Hercules" oatmeal, walked to the bar and pulled up almost a hundred times.
"More!" Kolya said.
Four hours later Kolya did almost a thousand pull-ups. He could hang on the bar all day.
And oatmeal kasha was renamed. Now it is called 'Kolya'.
And there is a new statue at the school museum. The Statue of Kolya (plaster replica).
