The Trouble at the Store (Конкурсное задание: В магазине)
Russian: Как-то раз мы с бабушкой пошли в магазин.
Я, большой и смелый, иду впереди.
Много-много разных отделов в магазине: и фрукты, и огурцы всякие, печенье, конфеты, яйца, колбаса, чай, и люди, люди, люди.
Оглянулся – а бабушки нет!
– Баба, я здесь! – закричал я так громко, что чуть не оглох.
А сам бегу вперёд вместо того, чтоб на месте стоять.
– Баба, я здесь! – закричал я ещё громче и побежал ещё быстрей.
– Баба, я… я…зд…е-е-е-есь! – заревел я и, наконец, остановился.
Тут только бабушка настигла меня и спасла. Она, оказывается, давно за мной бежала. Только догнать не могла, потому что я большой и ноги у меня быстрые.
English: One day, me and my grandmother decided to go to the grocery store. I walked in front since I am brave and grown-up. There are so many different things at the grocery store! There are fruits, all sorts of cucumbers, biscuits, candy, eggs, sausages, tea… and people, so many people; people everywhere! I turned around to tell my grandmother what I wanted, but my grandmother was… gone!
“Grandma, I’m here!!!” I yelled. I yelled so loudly that I thought I would go deaf! I ran as fast as I could instead of standing and waiting for my grandmother to find me.
“Grandma!!! I’m HERE!!!” I yelled even louder, and ran even faster too.
“GRANDMA!!! I’m… here…grand…ma.” I was too tired to go on, so I stopped running. Then, I turned around and saw my grandmother! Apparently she was chasing me around the store for a long time trying to tell me she was there. I am so grown up, and my legs are so strong that I was faster than my grandmother!
