The Importance of Traditions

For the last 200 years, the kings’ breakfast consisted of eggs and tea with sugar.
Once the king declared, “Today I will have orange juice!”
Everyone was surprised. The cook frowned. However, a glass of orange juice appeared on the table.
The king kept eating his breakfast as if nothing happened.
“Is there anything interesting today?”
“There is a meeting with an ambassador of the neighboring kingdom at noon.”
“Doesn’t seem interesting to me.”
The king pulled his shoulder and spilled his orange juice right on the royal mouse that was passing by.
The royal cat was waiting for the mouse by the door.
The mouse smelled like oranges. The cat snorted and jumped out of the window.
He then landed on top of the royal dog that started barking at the ambassadors’ horse.
The horse got scared and took off.
The ambassador fell of the horse and forgot the purpose of his visit.
He got up and went home with nothing done.
The neighboring king declared a war.
That is why tradition is so important.
