You must love sweets, right?
Also apes and the first humans were in search of sweet food in the woods, like berries, fruits, honey.
Because sweets are more likely edible!
As for bitter taste, it may mean that the fruit is poisonous.
It is well known that there are four tastes: sweet, sour, bitter and salty.
But there are also the fifth one. It was discovered a hundred years ago. It’s called “Umami” in Japanese. This taste promises the human satisfying. Umami flavor is in meat, mushrooms and walnuts.
But, also soy sauce gives it flavor to any kind of food.
