Младший брат
Youngest Brother
In one family, there were two older brothers and one younger brother. The older brothers always liked to help around the house. They were always sweeping the floors, peeling potatoes, ironing clothes, rearranging the furniture… But, the youngest brother wouldn't budge.
They would tell him, "Move the couch, please!"
Or:
"Peel the potatoes!"
But, he just whined and would say, "Nope! That's what older brothers are for!"
If he was called to dinner, he would first look at his brothers and then say, "Fine. I'll help."
And if someone was doing something mean to the youngest brother, he would never want revenge on that person.
He would say, "Nope! That's what older brothers are for!"
Maybe that's why no one ever bullied him.
Time passed, and the older brothers grew up. They got jobs, married, and had kids.
But, the youngest brother stayed young. He still went biking or playing soccer with the kids outside, as if he was still a kid.
And once, when a man stopped him on the street, he asked, "Is this ever going to end? Will you ever grow up?" The youngest brother didn't answer right away.
First, he looked for the butterfly that he lost sight of.
He scratched his freckled nose.
He bounced the ball a couple of times.
And only after that, he would say, "Nope! That's what older brothers are for!"
